Dhurandhar
Official Trailer
Storyline
Dhurandhar follows a deep-cover Indian intelligence operative who slips across the border and works his way into the heart of Karachi’s criminal syndicates and political power structures. Living a dangerous double life, he must earn the trust of ruthless kingpins and handlers while quietly gathering the intelligence needed to break apart a terror network targeting India. As loyalties blur and the stakes climb, every choice carries a price — and the mission sets up a larger reckoning to come in the story’s second part.
Production
Dhurandhar was written and directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Dhar with Lokesh Dhar and Jyoti Deshpande under the Jio Studios and B62 Studios banners. It was photographed by Vikash Nowlakha and edited by Shivkumar V. Panicker. At about 214 minutes it is one of the longest Indian films in years, and it was conceived as the first instalment of a two-part saga, with a sequel titled Dhurandhar The Revenge announced to follow.
Music
The music and background score were composed by Shashwat Sachdev, whose muscular, high-tension sound underpins the film’s espionage set pieces and its grim cross-border setting.
Reception
Dhurandhar released on 5 December 2025 and became a huge commercial success, grossing around ₹1,350 crore worldwide to finish as the highest-grossing Indian film of the year. Reviews were mixed to positive: critics praised its ambitious scope and the performances of Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna, while some felt the film ran long and packed in too many sub-plots.
