Jewel Thief – The Heist Begins

Rehan Roy is a celebrated jewel thief with a string of audacious heists to his name, kept under watch by Indian agents wherever he goes. When circumstances force his hand, he is drawn into the orbit of Rajan Aulakh, a merciless crime boss who wants him to steal a coveted jewel known as the African Red Sun. Playing a dangerous game of deception, Rehan must navigate his employer, the officer hunting him and his own hidden agenda. The film unfolds as a slick cat-and-mouse caper full of double-crosses and twists.

Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins was co-directed by Kookie Gulati and Robbie Grewal and produced by Siddharth Anand under the Marflix Pictures banner for Netflix. The film was photographed by Jishnu Bhattacharjee and edited by Aarif Sheikh, with a runtime of about 118 minutes, built as a stylish, fast-moving heist thriller.

The music and songs were handled by a set of composers led by Sachin-Jigar, providing a sleek, propulsive soundtrack in tune with the film’s glossy caper style.
