Toxic

Set against the sun-soaked coast of Goa, Toxic peels back the region’s postcard image to reveal the crime networks operating beneath it. Spanning the 1940s through the 1970s, the film follows the rise and reckonings of its central figure — played by Yash in a dual role — amid a world of smuggling, power and shifting loyalties. Billed as a "fairy tale for grown-ups," it promises a stylised, period-set gangster saga anchored by a sprawling ensemble.

Toxic is directed by Geetu Mohandas and produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under the KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations banners. The film was shot in Kannada and English and is planned for release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam as well. Principal photography ran from August 2024 to October 2025 across Bengaluru, Mumbai, Goa, Thoothukudi and Jaipur. It was photographed by Rajeev Ravi and edited by Ujwal Kulkarni. After earlier date changes, the film is scheduled to release worldwide on 26 August 2026.

The background score is composed by Ravi Basrur, with songs from a set of composers including Vishal Mishra and Tanishk Bagchi, bringing a distinctive sound to the film’s period gangster world.
