Raid 2

Years after the raid that made his name, the fearless Income Tax officer Amay Patnaik sets his sights on a new and far more difficult target: a beloved public figure and politician whose spotless reputation masks deep-rooted corruption. Working through meticulous raids, paperwork and legal filings, Patnaik peels back a network of benami properties and shell companies designed to hide ill-gotten wealth. As the powerful adversary fights back with every resource at his disposal, the film becomes a patient cat-and-mouse duel between an honest officer and an untouchable opponent.

Raid 2 was directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, who wrote it with Ritesh Shah, Jaideep Yadav and Karan Vyas. It was produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak under the T-Series Films and Panorama Studios banners. The film was photographed by Sudhir K. Chaudhary and edited by Sandeep Francis, with a runtime of about 138 minutes.

The background score was composed by Amit Trivedi, with songs from Yo Yo Honey Singh, Rochak Kohli and Sachet-Parampara, blending the film’s tense procedural mood with a handful of chartable tracks.

Raid 2 released on 1 May 2025 and grossed around ₹243 crore worldwide, ranking among the higher-earning Hindi films of the year. Reviews were mixed: critics praised the lead performances of Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh while noting that the film’s pacing sagged in places.
