Bhool Chuk Maaf

In Varanasi, Ranjan Tiwari is desperate to marry Titli Mishra, but her family wants a groom with a stable government job. Ranjan pays a bribe to secure one, and the wedding is finally set — until he wakes up trapped in a time loop that keeps returning him to the day before the ceremony. As every attempt to reach his wedding fails, Ranjan realises the only way out is to undo his one dishonest act: give up the job he bought and return it to the candidate who rightfully earned it, forcing a choice between his career and his conscience.

Bhool Chuk Maaf was written and directed by Karan Sharma and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the Maddock Films banner, in association with Amazon MGM Studios. Shot largely in Varanasi, the film was photographed by Sudeep Chatterjee and edited by Manish Pradhan, with a runtime of about 121 minutes. Originally scheduled for 9 May 2025, its release was pushed to 23 May 2025.

The songs were composed by Tanishk Bagchi, with the background score by Ketan Sodha. The soundtrack blends the film’s small-town Varanasi setting with contemporary Hindi film pop.

Bhool Chuk Maaf released theatrically on 23 May 2025 and grossed around ₹90.78 crore. Critical reaction was mixed: reviewers praised the lead pairing of Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi and the film’s Varanasi flavour, while others felt the time-loop premise wore thin over its running time. The film moved to Amazon Prime Video from 6 June 2025.
