Official Trailer
Storyline
Krish Kapoor is a talented but hot-tempered musician still waiting for his break when he meets Vaani Batra, a quiet, thoughtful writer. As they work and grow closer, their bond blossoms into a deep romance — until Vaani is diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s. Faced with the knowledge that she will slowly lose her memories, Krish chooses to stay by her side, pouring his love and grief into his music. Their story becomes one of devotion tested by a disease that steadily erases the very moments they share.
Production
Saiyaara was directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Yash Raj Films, drawing loosely on the 2004 Korean film A Moment to Remember. The film introduced Ahaan Panday in the lead and paired him with Aneet Padda. It was photographed by Vikas Sivaraman and edited by Rohit Makwana and Devendra Murdeshwar, with a runtime of about 156 minutes, continuing Suri’s signature blend of intense romance and music-driven storytelling.
Music
In keeping with Mohit Suri’s reputation for music-forward romances, Saiyaara features a rich soundtrack drawn from several composers, including Mithoon, Tanishk Bagchi, Sachet-Parampara and Vishal Mishra. The songs, released ahead of the film, played a central role in its popularity.
Reception
Saiyaara released on 18 July 2025 to a record-breaking opening and went on to gross around ₹579 crore worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing Indian romantic film of all time. Reviews were generally favourable, with critics praising the lead debutants and the film’s music even as some found the story familiar. It was later ranked among the year’s most popular Indian films.
